Left this for a while didn't I?

From the last time I posted, much has been scribed on the pages of history.
First and perhaps foremost, this weekend just passed marked the 2009 ATOM awards for which Pete was nominated for 'Best Tertiary Experimental' video, for which I had baked up the soundtrack LINK HERE FOR SOUNDTRACK.
This was a pretty cool achievement, and on Friday night we flew to Melbourne, stayed in a pricey hotel, bought a $120 bottle of Ardbeg (World scotch '09 winner), suited up and hit that.

Let me tell you this.
It was a good weekend, but awards nights are long. I have never counted myself yawning so many times in a 3ish hour period as I did that night. Needless to say we were not successful in winning the award. Some of the entries across the other categories were amazing, and it was great to be there. The mini-burgers at the afterparty were also pretty amazing. Oh and there were free Boag's Draughts. I mean come on.

After that we retired to the suite and drank ourselves see-through. This continued until the next day. I believe I spoke with my Mum on the phone at some point but it's really just a blur. We found a nice alley restaurant somewhere in town and had a really decent meal there (wicked service too) then wobbled back to the hotel again and passed out. I woke up the next morning and told Pete that I was going to spew on the plane. This almost actually occured in the taxi on the way there, also in the airport check-in, the security checkpoint, the gangway, but surprisingly not on the plane. I secretly won that weekend solely for that achievement.

Aside from that, I have been successful at work in gaining a (wait for this title by the way) Subject Matter Expert role. I am officially an expert in the matter of subjects (bitch).
This means my job satisfaction increases tenfold and I am less likely to have a stroke at Christmas dinner.

I can't think of anything else to say so I'm going to leave that there.
I do believe however it is Sasha time very shortly. This is awesome.

Take care of yourselves.

A rant about thieves.

So anyway.

Life lately = busy but good.
Achieved a major, MAJOR illness recently which was great. 4 days off work, is some kind of record. I also had annual leave afterward which was great. During this time I discovered Wii bowling actually increases real bowling prowess. 5 strikes is not something achieved by Noobkills McGillicutty on a good day.

In other news, some cheap hobo fuck stole my headphones after my set at Halo last weekend. Now don't get me wrong I do alot of dumb shit, mostly for the lulz (the rockets for example) but seriously stealing? My Senheissers? Fuck you. Anyway the upshot is I got to spend $320 on new ones.
No wait. That's not an upshot.

The good news is I need them, because I have been playing heaps. That's genuinely a good thing.
It means I can justify my credit card being ploughed like the fields of Iowa and my eardrums being relentlessly pounded like... wait they do corn there, don't they? Where was I?

Work has achieved major awesomesauce. Someone read my mind and now I am what?
I am an acting teamleader/mentor/noob support personell. Fucking allllllllright.
This is so, so awesome because it means less time on the phones and more doing things that dont involve answering so many calls from angry people wanting you to fix other peoples mistakes. Plus for three weeks I get my weekends. I GET MY FUCKING WEEKENDS. This is the part where you imagine I am throwing shit everywhere and pouring Dom Perignon on my face, which is not too far from last weekend. By the way, ouch.

That is all to report. Hope everyone is alive and well!

Peas.

Hey all, turns out I'm alive.

Well batten the hatches and flibber me jibbets.

What the christ has been going on LJ people?
Neglect.

Again.

Anyway, this:

So techno finally gets a regular night in Hobart! RWK.

Other news:
Voluntarily switched from 123/Network/Prepay Care to a lower-paying Full Care position with the sole purpose of gaining a skillset so I can move up through the business. Apparently management smile on this because no one does it, and it holds well for the future. Tick "Making Career Move" off of life achievements list.

Also tick off "minor bingle repair", "launching high-power model rockets under high-tensile 1-phase powerlines (six, to be exact)" and "CATO-ing (explosionating) many more unsuccesfull rockets to the dismay of myself and the police". I have also bought a graphics card and now enjoy playing computer games. What the fuck is happening to me?

I believe I am fulfilling childhood fantasies, but who gives a shit?

Anyway I'm off to tear syrup a new acid-hole.
Enjoy whatever the shit whoever the fuck reads this, does.

Peas.

Well have I been busy?
Yes.

Many things happening lately.
I was one of the chosen few to attend the 123 thinktank today. It was full-on. I mean wow. We had to generate and flesh out business ideas for 123 at great length. I mean,I use my head for musical creativity all the time so creation isn't a problem, or so I thought. Turns out there are different areas of the mind for different areas of creation and certain areas got a FUCKING BEATING TODAY. Imagine keeping yourself locked in a cupboard, then being thrust into a lightroom and whipped with chains.

WOW.

It was great though, not only am I totally stoked that the big bosses personally asked me to attend and then sat me in their group but I also got to contribute to the future of the business.

I honestly never thought I'd hear myself say this but I think I am slowly becoming a ...
... career man?
AaGGHghGH *scrapes tongue*.
But in reality it feels kinda good... secure. Reliable.

In other news, everyone is fucking sick as dogs.

Went and helped Pete and Rob drink on sunday at the metz, which was great since I haven't been there for over 8 months. I had catching up to do though, they were past it and I wasn't near it but that made for laffs.

Also, in case you're all retarded... Global Gathering.

Sasha? Kraftwerk? SOLD.

There are others but I don't care. Complications I dare say. Fuck me I haven't been this excited since DURING daft punk. This is really going to be something.
And on the subject, Invol2ver anyone? HI. WOW. You really are the worst thing in the world but that is FINE BY ME.

It's really great to be so strongly seeded in music again.
I have also gotten around to buying more MIDI cables now so I have this live rig happening finally which is not only hugely time consuming it's also awesome fun and totally worth every last hundred thousand fucking dollars I spend on it or whatever.

Recording projects are going great. One of them is corrupt (Imageline software, really does suck balls), but before that it was sounding great so that's confidence if anything.

Anyway ch'all I'm out so take it easy and I'll get around to posting photos of my sweet new haircut that i got after OVER A YEAR OF GROWING HAIR. HAHAHA I FINALLY DID IT AND STILL HAVE A GIRLFRIEND TO SHOW. WINZ!

So anyway,

I was driving to work this morning minding my own business.
Davey Street entrance to southern outlet? Closed. The cops there redirect me to Proctor's road (with their hand-waving gestures).
Proctor's Road entrance to southern outlet? Closed. They verbally redirect me to try the Channel Highway. I call work to tell them not to expect me for a little while yet; they explain the situation.

Channel Highway? Closed.

So I turn the car around and go home.
Today is a good day.

Wow. Lots on lately.

I haven't written in this for a while, it's bordering on neglect, but that's alright isn't it?
Nothing like a little malnutrition with your weetbix. Or, is there?

Last month several awesome things happened. I ripped fairys off the walls, painted them and gave birth to the "black hole". The black hole is is a pleasant colour called: "velvet maroon". I spend all of my god damn free time in this place, and it is pretty much the awesomenest thing ever.
I also bought a fucking sweet microphone and valve preamp which makes for ultra smooth recordings, and have been working my ass off and trying to find the time to record when there is no elephant stampede (read: 10+ strong tap class) next door.

The new car hasn't crashed under my control yet. This is a plus.

I am also slamming the KPI's at work, getting excellent numbers in my stats; the other day they gave me a box set of the Pierce Brosnan Bond films and a box of chocolates JUST FOR BEING AWESOME.

Naturally I threw them into the fans.

That is a lie, like Kenny G and Creed (seriously do you remember this fucking band? What the fuck?!) we dont have fans.

Something else.

That other thing.

Playing at Pitch Black on Saturday, first one in a while since the DJing holiday. HOoraaaryy.

End.

I WIN. I WIN AT INTERNET.

So after six months, I finally have the internet.

I also have a pipeline full of awesomesauce ready to explode all over the place.

1) Behringer Truth 2031a monitor and Sub package
After years and years of using hi fi speakers I finally went out and decided that I deserve studio monitors. Dad has leant me a pair from Production Works, and I was sold within about five minutes. Hooray for accuracy!

2) New car
I am buying a lancer. Yeah, the RX7 is dying. Also, just because I'm a fuckwit I'm buying a sub for that too. Because I can.

3) New computer
Studio is lacking solely due to the old computer sucking (huge understatement). For this reason I consulted god and he said:
Quadcore 2.4 gHz fucking powerhouse with the mother of all noise-reducing cases, the Antec Sonata III, 4 gigabytes of ram, 500g HDD, and a motherfucking 22" TFT display. Enough said. This thing will surely destroy any latency issues I had previously, and combined with the room of awesomeness and the new monitors, you can expect to hear some serious shit VERY soon.

Aside from all of that I've been recovering from Jade's 21st for a couple of weeks now.
Seriously. I have destroyed the part of my brain which says "No, that's enough,". Coupled with the excursion at Pete's last weekend, which resulted in my standing outside his house for a calculated 40 minutes staring into the sky dancing to music which didn't exist... has proven to be enough partying for a lifetime. At least until 9 o'clock tonight anyway.

Hope everyone is well, till next time
au revoir.

Crek?

So I've managed to successfully avoid cigarettes for 19 days.

This time it is for good, I feel.

I even tested myself by drinking on the weekend (all of my friends are smokers, practically) and didn't even find myself resisting any urges. +10 points for me.

Aside from that, the studio has been getting a workout lately. Recording weird melodic garagey rock stuff. I think it's time to invest in a new computer and some monitors. Maybe a laptop, I don't know yet. Internet is coming soon, probably in two weeks. I'd like to wait until the line is installed (which is tomorrow, thank god).

I also missed the target at home with one of my $11 carbon fibre arrows, and it struck besser brick at 20m and splayed open like a tuft of hair. I will post pics of this, because I never knew carbon to behave in such a way. It's actually quite awesome.

Well alright...

So I checked my LJ today and there's a comment on an entry I made about two years ago.

Turns out I made someone very angry, which is unfortunate and unintended.
I do sincerely apologise, whoever you are, please understand I did not mean anything other than how strange it was that said person would come forward about this, especially to a newspaper. To me, it seemed funny (as the person I knew did not seem like the kind of person to be involved in such matters)... however it seems I have seriously offended somebody out there which is not the purpose of this journal (which you would be forgiven for taking otherwise I suppose).

As a result I deleted said entry out of respect... so hopefully everyone is happy now.

Anyway moving on, I've successfully lost over $30 worth of arrows into the bush at Collinsvale.
Archery is great, but not when you let your dad have a go, apparently.

I have nothing else to say except IVE NOT HAD A CIGARETTE IN OVER 2 WEEKS. I AM THE WINNAR.

Okay awesome.

SURPRISE WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!

So anyway,

I'm not sure what the hell has been happening. The world of work and other shit is... how do we say, hectic. Hectic? Yes that's how I'd say it too! Oh glorious day!

So last night Alex, Jade and I went out for some drinks and retarded activities.
Jade and I had dinner at the Tasmanian Inn (looks how it sounds, trust me) and so naturally the drinks with dinner found themselves around 20 friends in my stomach.
At least this weekend I didn't spew. Did I tell you mum and dad? I spewed last weekend! It was epic. I never vomit (unless I'm on a plane with no sick bags, apparently).
Then we see something I have never actually ever witnessed let alone in a shit hole pub. This poor dude gets up on the microphone and throws out a spiel about how tough the past 6 months have been and how he couldn't have done it without his lovely girlfriend, "Tamara". Everyone knows what's coming next. He proposed to her in front of the whole pub, awww. But none of us are even sure if she said yes because he never really asked her, he just put the ring on her finger, stands up and leaves the stage and practically goes straight for the bar proclaiming to all and sunder "I noid a DRINK!!".

I actually have no funny comments for that, it speaks for itself.

Weekend prior, five of the lads came around and we drank beer, played in the studio and smoked joints. An hour later, we notice one of us has dissappeared. Where the hell was he and more importantly who the hell was he?
About 20 minutes later he emerges from the laundry, having taken a shit in the toilet there which does not have any toilet paper with it, as it is usually not used for toilet-related activities (yes, instead we put goldfish in there <- this part is a lie).

Apparently this poor fucker had gone through his entire phonebook trying to get one of our numbers, he called his EX GIRLFRIEND, yes, can you picture this: "Hi, yeah, i'm stuck on the shitter, I don't have anyone's number and I need toilet paper... hello?". In the end he rummaged around IN A FUCKING BIN and found A BANK RECEIPT which he studiously wiped his ass with. This is possibly the funniest thing anyone there has ever heard at this point in their lives. So naturally we all walk into the laundry, and peer into the toilet (thinking about why we actually did this is funnier now than the story itself). What do we see? It's a fucking bank receipt. God. Help. Us. Make it stop.

Suddenly it's full bore cacophonous laughter. And this did not stop all night. 5 solid hours of insane hilarity and then everyone went home. It was a strange night and you clearly just can't plan those.

Also Jade is almost 21! Her birthday is going to be hookless if you dratch my cift.
Other than that I don't think there is a lot else to report on.

Oh, yes there is.
I bought a browning 45 pound bow. It's a compound. It puts carbon arrows THREE INCHES into eucalypts and shatters them from 10-15 metres distance. It is easily the toughest thing I've ever bought. You can wind the fucker up to SIXTY FIVE POUNDS. CAN YOU EVEN IMAGINE HOW MUCH DAMAGE THAT WOULD DO? AAAHHRRHRHRHR it's mind numbing even to think about.

So that's my life.
How's yours?

Still alive folks!

It's true, I'm not dead.
Put away those obituaries.

Anyway there's a little to report on since last time.

1) work has cracked down on external non-relevant site access therefore no lj entries for centuries.

2) FMF. WOW. Hot. It was an awesome day. I was so well behaved. By that I mean I didn't even have a drink, or anything. Between you and I, I thought I would dehydrate and DIE if I was naughty in any way shape or form so I waited until after the sun went down and we were out of there. It was an awesome day though. Chemical brothers were pretty average. By average I mean they sucked next to Daft Punk. My fault for ruining my dinner so to speak I guess.

3) BIG TV. I bought one. 50 inches of 1080p HD plasma awesomeness.
RRP $3000. On sale for $2000. Walked out with a 5 year warranty and home delivery for $1663.
Deal.of.the.century.

4) Studio continues to grow.

5) I washed the car. This is epic because I haven't washed it for over a year. That includes cleaning it out. I was scared there wouuld be spiders but they've probably died long ago.

That is all. I hope you are all well, hopefully wont be too much longer until I speak again.

Wow.

So anyway the JP8000 was at home by the end of the day that I posted that last post.

Needless to say I've been glued to the helm for some time now.
All I have to verbally convey would be "wow". That purchase was a first for several reasons.

1) It is the first purchase over $1000 I've ever made
2) It is my first synth
3) It is also nothing short of unbelievable.

You know every epic trance track ever made? JP8000.
It's addictive beyond addiction and I'm loving it.

In other news, my car stopped last night halfway up the southern outlet.
Turns out I'd forgotten to put oil in it for a few months, which in the case of an RX7 is pretty much like not feeding a person for three weeks. Luckily though it didn't cease up and we shoved some oil in there and away she went (after 10 minutes of "Oh, this totally isn't going to work is it?").

We had a spa last night.
Spa = unreal. Even better with a "university cigarette" and a neat 12yo scotch. Jade fell asleep immediately afterward so I retreated to the moonroom and toyed with things.

Running that JP8000 through the Kaoss pad is incredible and I promise that's the last I'll mention it.

Anyway I should probably sign in and start work now.

Saturday shifts eh!

House party @ SYRUP tomorrow noight, Damian's been telling people I will be doing some kind of amazing circus feats behind the decks... no pressure or anything. Should be awesome eitherway!

YES. pt 3

Well I've been neglecting you all.

Onto today's news, in the next 3 business days I will be recieving this:

I have not been longing for something for so long since.. well I just haven't.
It even took me only one and a half years to get turntables in High School after I decided I wanted them. I've been it.

This thing went out of production in 2001.

I first saw it in Allans music in Brisbane in 2000 and instantaneously melted.

It popped up on eBay the other day and I just couldn't resist. Needless to say it's now mine. MINE!!$&*(^

Meanwhile I've been reading Anthony Kiedis' book Scar Tissue.
Oh my god. What a book. I mean seriously. It practically doesn't seem to go anywhere or progress much, but for some unknown reason I CAN'T PUT THE FKING THING DOWN. He collaborated with Larry Sloman for it, and I don't know who's idea it was to write the book the way it's written but I joke you not, it is practically IMPOSSIBLE to put it down at any paragraph. Somehow they manage to hook you at the end of every phrase, sentence, whatever. It's just total addiction in paperback and I'm very impressed. No spoilers here though you have to read it all yourselves and thank me later.

Also, totally moved into the new place. Adjustment is complete, and the hundreds of squealing, laughing, dancing girls that parade around on a weekly/daily basis is nothing more than background murmur. Until Jade decides to open the doors and let them all in. Then it's chaos, but that's a laugh in itself anyway, and I can always retreat into the room of abrasive sound waves.

The new studio room is aceeee. I've bought like $50 worth of leads and plugs so I have this crescent-shaped booth-oid configuration which eats up the whole room full of decks, mixers, sampler, synth, controller keyboard, kaoss pad.. MAN IT'S FINALLY HAPPENING. AERHEGHG ITS AWESOME. I barely have room for the couch.

I get so serious in there that hours dissapear, and I crack a sweat after 20 minutes because of all the gear in that tight space. It's a great feeling jamming again though. Ahh techno.

Oh and the joys of cable-TV are finally upon us as well. Hoorah.

And, we have a spa. I mentioned that already but I cleaned it the other night so we can finally use it now.

That's about it from me for now, take it easy y'all, next step is the intarweb at the new place for frequent meaningless updates.

Peas!

Spaaaaaaaaahhhhh.

Well.

Anyway due to the fact that we have to move out, we have asked around to see if anyone knew about any place that was up for rent. By some other uncanny coincidence, Jenina has finished her new house (which is unbelievably awesome), which means the apartment strapped on the side of the studio is vacant.

Our new place is built on the side of a humungous dance studio, converted from a mental institution.

None of the above is a lie. There is even a spa, which (if TV is placed accordingly in living room) is perfectly positioned so if doors are opened, you can watch TV from the spa! Awwww yieeeer.

So anyway, the wrap:
- 2 bedrooms (read: one bedroom, one music room)
- bathroom
- laundry (w/extra toilet! ALRIGHT!@!@*&)
- spacious living area
- view of trees
- large block. Like, it's really quite ridiculously big. You could camp 100 people out there easy. 200 even.
- five enormous dance studio rooms which are vacant post 9pm for use as recording spaces/whatever. (Concrete, wood, mirror, carpeted hallways, all kinds of acoustic possibirrity11!!^*&)
- snack vendor
- coffee machine
- ghosts of hundreds of tortured souls

Oh, and because it's a business they can't charge us for power.
Rewind?
They can't charge us for power.
Rewind again?
Free.farkung.power.

So, rent must be exhorbitant right?
Haha!

...

$75 a week.

Money saving is a wonderful thing. Plus the landlords are awesome. Really, freaking, awesome.
It's going to be smooth sailing... ahhh the breeze of freedom.

Anyway that's my news, I suppose Santa really did come and give me/us a present for being so patient this crazy holiday season. Wow.

Also, booked flights and got leave for FMF. It's awn.

...and Samex finally goes crazy at someone!

Well I discovered the meaning of the term "loggerheads" on New Year's Day.

After my sister's exboyfriend decided to call her a slut on the street when they ran into each other, him then following her up the road, PUNCHING HER IN THE STOMACH AND BITING HER HARD she understandably ran to Hadley's where Darin (thankyou Darin) rescued and hid her until he went away. Craig (from work, thankyou craig) ran up to meet her and waited around till a cab came. Anyway he showed his face at curly's so understandably I went up to him and gave him $3.50 worth of my mind. Shortly afterward three security escorted him out despite his mates saying I shouldn't do anything.

Hooray! Now I have angry italians who want to shoot my face off and I couldn't care less.

After that incident, the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen occurred.
Followed by the most ridiculous other things I've ever seen.

I'm not going to write about it for fear he's going to find this and turn it into some kind of legal document. It's actually quite disturbing to think what may happen now since he's clearly taking this way too personally which is really unfortunate.

Anyway in short I'm not working at Curly's anymore. That is all I have to say about that, arat a tat tat.

So my new years was total shit! How about everyone else? Let me know, please. Like really, god will stab a kitten if you don't.

And to sum up, some model chick goes crazy, and takes her boyfriend hostage! With real guns!
Why am I aroused by this?

... actually, I take that back. I read that the whole way through and I'm not so hot anymore.

Actually that's a lie.
I do not have a stereo in my car, people decided to steal it some time ago.

In other news, it's two hours until midnight (10pm atm as I type this).

What a year.

I mean seriously. Wow.

Anyway, Vodafone have supplied me with a party popper so when midnight rolls around I can explode it. Hooray! Jeez they look after you here, don't they?

I will hopefully have the opportunity to post more reflective thoughts tomorrow, as there is alot to cover in this past year of craziness.
Highlights include:

- first fulltime job
- first intercity gig
- quitting 9/11
- moving into nice big house
- meeting new/exciting people in the industry
- buying LOTS of AWESOME gear
- not drinking as much as often (I hear you laughing)
- unleashing the painting mongrel artiste
- DAFT MOTHERFUCKING PUNK (this will be a highlight for my entire life no doubt)

there are others. Hopefully I can cover them tomorrow.

Until then, to all my LJ friends (and enemies, should there be any) I wish you a safe as fuck and happy new years, and all the best wishes and good fortune for the upcoming 365.25 days until we do this all again.

Peace and wuv,

Samex
[accepted everywhere]

What better time to stab someone? It's Christmas!

I wasn't going to write about it but I'm stuck at work with a splitting hangover so I'm going to anyway. Unfortunately this piece is not fiction.

Once upon a time in a suburb not too far away there were some state champion boxers who had a penchant for sticking needles full of speed in their arm. Being christmas time they decided to have a party. Now, these guys used to pick on a dude. By 'pick on' I mean, 'beat the living crap out of him'.

For some unknown reason the poor guy decided to go to the party where the boxers were. He also decided he would bring his knife. Apparently this is not an unusual thing to bring to parties in the 'burbs. Or should I say, this burb in particular.

You can all see where this is going. He basically set foot in this party, and got set on. By 'set on' I literally mean this dude got pummelled. Completely. Levelled. By several of the state's top boxers, on meth. This dude pretty much cracked. He pulled out his shiv, and started going nuts. Not only did he completely fuck the entire party right up, he also 'accidentally' killed someone. Several people were stabbed. One of the guys ran all the way to the hospital with the shiv in his back. That's at least 10 kilometres.

The guy he killed was 17. Christmas time.

The next door neighbour heard a commotion and went to investigate. She called an ambulance.

Apparently in bogan world, calling an ambulance means you get to have your house broken into nights later. She was beaten. Her boyfriend was beaten. Their 2 yearold ran to the driveway and was screaming and crying. Here's the good part.

They kicked the 2 yearold IN THE HEAD. PICKED HIM UP AND THREW HIM DOWN AN EMBANKMENT.

Understandably that 2yearold is now sitting at the grandparents house in a corner, covering his face with his hands, rocking back and forth crying incessantly.

But the guy they beat up is in a family. A family you don't really want to mess with. Ever. Justice will be served in that sense I guess, but where will it end? Will that really solve anything anyway? They'll just get more knives, more speed, more boxers. It's insane. I couldn't imagine a worse life than living like that.

I mean jesus christ it's fucking christmas time.

Christmas. A time for too much.

So I'm hoping everyone's christmasses were a little less hectic than mine.

The centre was overstaffed so I voted for the day off and won. Hooray... however that meant the previous rant about things that irritate me about christmas actually had to be fulfilled. It wasn't so bad in the end, actually I had a really good time which is unusual for christmas. I'm lucky that Jade has a family that hasn't been separated by divorce or anything, so it's really nice to get a taste of what big family Christmasses are about again.

It's kind of sad in a way I suppose. I barely remember what christmasses were like when we were all one simplified extended family in the one place laughing and eating ourselves crazy. I do remember they were some of the best times ever.

I always feel so sad visiting one parent and then leaving. I mean they have their own families but it would be so nice to just spend the whole day together and not have to worry about the other parent. Plus then I go home and sit around reminiscing about what it's like to be happy and naive about life. Christmas really is a depressing day. It's no wonder so many people kill themselves.

Anyway I had fun. I got a line6 FloorPod (very nice guitar preamp/modeller with effects) and some other random shit including a "grow your own peter from family guy" thing which grows in the water. I always wanted one of those.

Mum really liked her paintings (how lame is that, I painted her paintings for Christmas. I suppose it's what she asked for but still. And jesus christ, I thought that would save me some money, with the canvasses and the paint it added up to over $100 anyway, not that I'm complaining. Did not see that one coming though. Enough bracket time.)

She wants more now. People like them which is weird. Visitors ask who did them and I have to bashfully say it was me and then suck up the praise like the last chunk of frozen coke in the cup. Apparently I have unleashed some kind of talent that I didn't know I had but that's awesome, maybe I can go sell them at Salamanca on Saturdays and really fulfill my whole "living off art" thing. I want to be a dirty smelly artist. At least I'm two thirds there.

After all the running around we went to Jade's family friend's place where her family and friends were having drinks and christmas dinner. We laughed and ate more, drank and talked about things which do not matter at all whatsoever. I tuned Jackson's guitar that he got for christmas, and promised to teach him to play. We laughed at Jade's Dad's "strike while the iron is hot" comment regarding him dancing with other women one night while Linda watched on seething. I then brought up Linda's night at Surreal when she was dancing with Taha and suddenly we were laughing at a red faced Linda.

This is sounding more and more like a church of latter day saints ad, and I guess my cynicism for family is finally wearing off. I'm not sure what to make of it. I'm not even sure that family is a natural process for anyone anymore, or maybe it's just me all along. I don't know. It's a strange and comforting feeling to actually be comfortable around a family though, especially though it's not my own.

After drinks and more food we retired back to our place where Alex Taha and Hannah came later for even MORE drinks and Robot Chicken (which I have bought series two of. Thanks Sanity, for once you have actually come through for me, you bastards)

Jade then went to stay at Hannah's, and I went to bed alone.
Contrasting sensations there, being with your family, your loved one's family, your mates, and then totally alone. It was nice though.

I guess it was a success after all, I mean I had a good day and that's all that really matters I suppose.

In retrospect, I shouldn't have had four cans of redbull to get me through that day. I woke this morning feeling extremely anxious and paranoid. It was horrible. I thought I was going to have an heart attack. But I didn't, becuase I'm awesome. Or gay. Probably gay though.

That's hilarious, I'm writing that one down.

So all in all I'm hoping everyone had a nice Christmas and ate and drank way too much like I did because contentment has taken on a new meaning today, and it involves alot of toilet breaks, some vomit and an urge for Burger King. I mean Hungry Jack's. Oh.. whatever.

HUMAAAN TOGETHERRRR

Well.

Air tickets = $200
Accommodation = free
ticket to Daft Punk = $135
Beer, sunglasses and extras = $200

Having the top 1000hz of your hearing range completely decimated, never to return again by the most awesome stage show I have EVER FUCKING EXPERIENCED and WILL EVER EXPERIENCE EVER...

priceless.

I have not yelled, whisteled, wooted, jumped up and down, danced, pointed, thrown goats, shimmied like there was no tomorrow, talked with strangers, and generally been so taken by a show since the first times I went out and even they did not even slightly compare to the insanity that was that one.

Everything was perfect. Beyond words doesn't even begin to cover it.

The rest of the night was full of laughs, beer, meeting up with people and being retards all over town. It was great fun, and easily the best weekend of the year, let alone my life.

Ended up at Sam and Elle's place smoking damania (which is alot more effective than I'd expected) and drinking. Sam and I went outside and played with remote control cars until the rain started to get to us.

The next night we went to george lane bar and left pretty soon after. Saw Damian Walsh in ConeHeads (take away shop, haha) who Jade and Elle were convinced they'd seen on TV. He stood by that he wasn't famous but as soon as we left I informed them that he was actually from Blue Heelers. Which means they were both right, he was on TV, but he wasn't famous (this is an hilarious joke that no one else finds funny except me).

And to celebrate, our flight was so late that I got a migraine thinking about it and missed work today.

Weekend = perfect.

Also picked up some cool new tshirts at the melbourne markets. I decided I didn't have a weed tshirt in my collection so I bought one of those too.
The end.
